The test is conducted on a 'touch-screen' computer and 30 must be answered correctly in order to pass.
The HPT element will last for approximately 20 minutes and follows the MCQ element. There is a three-minute break after the MCQ element before a short tutorial video of approximately three minutes, which then leads into the HPT itself of approximately 14 minutes.
Candidates use a computer mouse to identify traffic hazards in moving-image film clips, within a time frame. The test assesses a candidate's overall HP competence via responses to 15 scorable events presented in 14 film clips. The scoring windows use a declining scale of 5-1 points, according to how soon the candidate indicates recognition of a potential hazard developing. The maximum possible score for the HPT element is 75 points with a pass mark of 44 points required.
You will be notified of your result at the end of the test and issued with a certificate.
