Part
I (£50) THE THEORETICAL TEST
The Examination is in the form of 100 multiple-choice questions, which must
be completed within 90 minutes, along with a Hazard Perception Test of 20 minutes,
making a total examination time of 110 minutes. On the MCQ element of the test
you have a choice of four answers to each question and only one of them is correct.
You indicate which of the answers you think is correct on a touch-screen computer
monitor. The questions are on a wide range of subjects, from the books on the
publications list. The HPT element follows the MCQ element. There is a three-minute
break after the MCQ element before a short tutorial video of approximately three
minutes, which then leads into the HPT itself of approximately 14 minutes. Candidates
use a computer mouse to identify traffic hazards in moving-image film clips,
within a time frame. The test assesses a candidate's overall HP competence via
responses to 15 scorable events presented in 14 film clips.

qualify.
A Career Development Loan can include the D.S.A. fees.
